For the last few years I have had the privilege of shooting at the Outlets of Castle Rock to cover the arrival of Santa and their tree lighting. Each year features some great musical talent and this year was no different. Rising country stars, Waterloo Revival and Morgan Evans put on a great show and there was a great turnout. Check 'em out and get on down to The Outlets of Castle Rock - maybe I'll see you there for Moonlight Madness on Thanksgiving night!
20 Mile Jubilee - Photos and Films
Last weekend I had the privilege of shooting photos and video of 5 tremendous sessions of spunk, energy and shear awesomeness at the 20 Mile Jubilee Gymnastics Meet in Parker, CO. It was truly spectacular and the grace and athleticism I witnessed was stunning! The small gallery above is less than a percent of the final photos I am prepping to share, so please make sure you are pre-registered to be notified once the main galleries go live!
On that note, for those of you waiting for the 20 Mile Jubilee Photos and Films to post, I do thank you for your patience! I shot over 25,000 photos and nearly 96 hours of footage (4 cameras over 24 hours of competition) across two days and I appear to have overestimated my ability to quickly cull through and organize the content! I've narrowed it down to roughly 3,600 photos across the 5 sessions and I can't wait to share them with you!
At this rate, photos should go live on the evening of April 6th. Again, if you have not done so, please pre-register at the gallery here and the gallery will send a link to your email as soon as it goes live.
Remember that you can also purchase your daughter's competition film featuring her performing in all 4 events! The mini-film also features special "SLOW MOTION" replays of Vault and Bars - super fun to watch, and great to learn from! As these take a little time to produce we are only creating these films on a per-order basis. You can order your film simply by adding it to the cart at the same time as you view the photos in the photo gallery. Instructions on how to do so will be in the photo galleries when they go live. When you order your film it will take 48 hours to produce and you will receive a link to download it to your computer or stream it to your tablet or mobile device - that way you don't have to fuss with a DVD - the film can be accessed anytime and anywhere you want it!
Below is an example of what your daughter's competition film will look like. If you have any questions about the photos or the films, or anything in between, please feel free to reach out to me through the contact link. Thanks so much for your patience and for taking a look at what's to come!
"Women of Influence" Video Series by B&H Photo →
The series is a must watch.
Riley W - Senior Session
Riley is awesome. The day we had picked for her senior portrait session turned out to be very well the windiest day of the tail end of this summer, but she was a real trouper and we got some great shots. These are just a few of my favorites.
AJ Lehrman at The Outlets of Castle Rock
Had the privilege of shooting at the Outlets of Castle Rock last night for the annual Tree Lighting ceremony. Was a huge turnout! Both rising star, AJ Lehrman and AGT star Brian Justin Crum performed. I was making photographs and shooting video - mostly shooting video while the incredible Brian Justin Crum performed but had to share some favorite shots of AJ.
Josh G - Portrait Session
I was very thankful for the opportunity to hold a headshot/portrait session with Realtor, Josh Gilbert. Josh was in the process of building his business collateral and wanted to put together some photos for his business cards, web presence, etc. He had been drawn to my black and white work and the portraits of musicians, and wanted a similar look and feel, though he was very open to collaboration which is always awesome.
I met Josh last week at his home and set up in his living room. We spent about an hour working different looks, outfits and a couple of different backgrounds. While Josh certainly needed a few select photos with nice clean looks, warm and pleasant smiles, etc., he was also very open to the "in-between" ... those magical moments, sometimes moody, sometimes gut-busting that hit the camera just right.
These are a few of my favorites from our shoot that hit on all of those notes. Had a great time and always, was very thankful for the trust that has been given to make someone's portrait.
mostly Harmless at Hard Rock Cafe
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph mostly Harmless at the Hard Rock Cafe in Denver this past Friday. It was a cold, rainy night as the snow storm of the Spring was moving in but that didn't stop them from having a fun, engaged crowd. Toni and Jason were killing it on vocals. Scott was shredding away on lead while Ryan was smoking it up on keys. Vic and Greg kept it grooving on Bass and Drums while Stephen filled in all the right places on percussion. Truly a energy-filled night of cover tunes well played and easy to rock out to and have fun. Check them out at http://mostlyharmlessband.com
